We offer a wide variety of fitness programs - let us help you determine which program is best to help achieve your goals.


CrossFit

CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity across broad time and modal domains. We practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly, we master the basics of gymnastics: pull ups, dips, rope climbs, push ups, and sit ups. We bike, run, and row. Every day we mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy.

For beginners, it is required to complete our Fundamentals before entering into our program.

CrossFit Lite

Do not let the word "Lite" fool you! You get all the same benefits as a CrossFit class but we eliminate the barbell work. You can go as easy or as intense as you would like - make it your workout!

Weightlifting 

Club

The CrossFit PTBO Weightlifting Club runs three times a week and is a continuous program. Each session runs for one hour and focuses on the Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and any other work that is related. For beginners, it is required to complete our Weightlifting Foundations before entering into our program.

Our Club is registered with the OWA (Ontario Weightlifting Association). It is not required to have a CrossFit membership in order to be part of the Weightlifting Club.

Personal

Training

When it comes to achieving a specific goal, nothing beats personal training. Whether your goal is to pass a physical, sports specific, or focused on general fitness, our coaches will develop a program unique to you. Person training sessions are one-on-one and scheduled at your convenience. We also offer semi-private sessions up to four people.

Team Training

CrossFit PTBO has experience leading sports teams, elementary school classes, and high school classes in private CrossFit sessions.

Working as a cohesive team is very important when you are on the field, court, or whatever setting you may be playing in. Training towards a common goal of improving endurance, strength, and mobility would not only help within the sport but also the athletes' daily routine. CrossFit compliments all sports, increases self-confidence, strength, and motor control.

Mobility/Strength Assessments

During our assessments, we test the upper and lower body mobility and strength. Mobility components include wrist, ankle, shoulder, and hips, to name a few. The strength portion will test any imbalances in the right vs left arm and legs. Identifying these strengths and weaknesses will allow the athlete and coach to approach work outs in a safe and smart way.

If an athlete is previously injured, this will allow the coach to assist in modifying the movements so the athlete can continue safely working out.

NormaTec Recovery System

The NormaTec Recovery System enhances blood flow and speed recovery. The NormaTec Pluse Massage Pattern employs three key techniques - pulsing, distal release, and gradients - all to maximize your recovery.

Pulsing: The patented pulsing action more effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, greatly enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs after an intense workout.

Gradients: Veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent fluid backflow. Similarly, NormaTec Pulse Technology uses hold pressures to keep fluids from being forced in the wrong direction.

Digital Release: Because extended static pressure can be detrimental to the body's normal circulatory flow, Sequential Pulse Technology releases the hold pressures once they are no longer needed to prevent backflow. By releasing the hold pressure in each zone as soon as possible, each portion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles.
